Alapis has a leading position in the sector of detergent and cosmetics production and distribution. Today, the Group distributes a wide variety of products, including more than 150 production lines and 800 product codes to the markets it is involved in, with its well-organized productive facilities that allow the development of high quality products at low cost.
Having developed a broad network of customers and associates, the Sector produces detergents in liquid and powder form on behalf of major companies such as Henkel, Unilever, Ecolab, Johnson Diversey, Sara Lee, Golgate Palmolive, as well as private label products for the supermarkets Carrefour, Makro, Delhaize, Veropoulos, Vasilopoulos, Galaxias, Dia, Metro, etc.
The development programme includes expansion of the product range for covering the needs and demands of an even greater share of consumers.

For the production of household detergents,the Sector operates in Atalanti facilities of a surface area of 16,250 m2, and an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons of powder detergent, 100,000 tons of liquid detergent and 25,000 tons of raw materials, as well as storage tanks of 10,000 m3. The unit in Atalanti, which is certified according to the ÉSO 9002 international standards, is one of the most modern and well-equipped detergent production plants in Greece and one of the largest in Europe.
For the production of detergents for professional use, the Sector has a production unit in Ionia, Thessaloniki, of a total surface area of 12,135m2 and of production capacity of 60,000 tons of chemical raw materials and detergents in liquid form. The factory is certified with the ISO 14000, the international standard of ecological waste treatment, as well as the ECOLABEL certificate by the Hellenic Ministry for the Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works, regarding green products with the indication “green daisy”. In addition, the facilities in Thessaloniki have a storage capacity of 1,000m3 intended for raw materials and semiready products, giving Alapis a significant advantage with regards to expanding its activities and entering new markets.
The Detergents Sector employs 144 people in total.
